We are getting ready for spring time with every day. And if we talk about spring time, it gets to my mind a bicycle. Riding a bike is one of my favourite activities. Colours of Andalucia

Andalucia is the second largest, in terms of land area, of the seventeen autonomous communities of the Kingdom of Spain. It is located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. This region is mainly well known for flamenco, white villages located in the mountains, arabic remains and great tapas. My vision of Andalucia consist mostly of colours which were really well exposed especially in small white-wall villages. Here below some pics from this amazingly colourful travel.

The idea was to take a photo of Eggman against the interior of the building that the workshops took place in. The Netherlands is so closely associated with windmills, that it's often the first fact people recall about the country. The Dutch built windmills for many centuries.To some extent, the windmills built the country itself, since without them much of the land drainage (like 40%) could not have occured. During my last visit in Brussels I went to the Belgian Comic Strip Center in order to get back to one of best known belgian comic strip character - Tintin. Besides, there were so many important officials on the plane that crashes this morning in Russia, that you feel like you would lost someone from your neighbours. This morning I was visiting my friend Ola who is french teacher in one warsaw high school. It's located at Bednarska street which I find one of the most interesting streets in Warsaw. Covered with cobblestones, this street preserves the vibe of old Warsaw. Here below some pics taken this morning.

Damnoen Saduak - floating market

Damnoen Saduak is probably one of the latest, real (not activated only in tourist aim) floating market in Thailand. Located about 105 kms from Bangkok, the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is very attractive place for all visitors who expect to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables and many traditional items from narrowed boats. Most of them are paddled by women with picturesque straw hats. Cacophony of smells and colours is so fantastic that I will not forget it for long time. Sandomierz market world

Sandomierz, one of the oldest city, located in south-eastern Poland, mainly known for its Old Town. Few people, however, knows that the city has one of the largest market in this part of region. Nevertheless, please do not promise yourself too much after my previous post related to "La Boqueria" in Barcelona as the polish equivalent shares with it only the word "market". This is the place where you can sell anything you want to get rid off and buy anything from antique stuff to ice-creams. Sandomierz market seems to be a bit out of time and surrealistic with these temporary displays presenting kitschy second-hand items. I would say it has its one-of-a-kind vibe.

La Boqueria - eclectic market with its history.

The Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, mostly known as La Boqueria, is a large public market in Barcelona which is an obligated must-see for all the tourists who visit this city. The first mention dates from 1217. At that time, it was a couple of tables which were installed in order to sell meat and fishes. Official recognition of market by the authorities in 1826, provoked the beginning of works on structure for this place. The inauguration finally took place in 1853 and the metal roof that still exists today was constructed in 1914. From this time, it began to modernise and improve, not only at a sanitary level, but also aesthetic and decorative. Over the years, La Boqueria has become the most emblematic market of all the network of markets in Barcelona and attracts all visitors by colours and smells.

Visiting my good friends in Barcelona last year, I couldn't miss this opportunity to drop by once again at this place and take some pics. You can see the result below:

Christmas time starts in commerce even one month before Christmas. Shop owners do everything to persuade customers to drop in to their shops and buy anything as we are more likely to spend more money at this time. This set of photos reflects shop-windows from Dublin where I was in 2007 and I really found them well designed and drawing attention.

One of best known photo of Chris Niedenthal that became an icon of this part of polish history when martial law was introduced in Poland in 13.12.1981. As you can see, it depicts SKOT standing in front of the cinema (called btw: "Moscow") in Warsaw, with a large banner advertising Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now in the background. Very symbolic...

Last film festival "Zawsze z Bareją" was committed to remind the person of famous polish film director Stanislaw Bareja whose films are well known to polish public mainly due to specific, absurd sense of humour and the way how they reflect the time before 1989 in Poland. Some people know quotes from these films by heart and use them in daily routine conversation as they reflect sometimes brilliant comment to observed reality.
Both of us, Karol and I, are fans of these films and we couldn't afford to miss the chance to see "Poszukiwany, Poszukiwana" at big screen. (eng. version: "Man - Woman Wanted").

My first wedding photo assignment was done mostly thanks to my friend Anna vel Hanna who spreads a good word about me and my photographs among her acquaintances and friends. As I really wanted to try this kind of photography, I agreed for being wedding photographer on Justyna and Tomek civil marriage. It was nice experience and I think I could repeat it :)

This photo was selected for inclusion in the seventh edition of Schmap London Guide.You can find it in the bookmark Chinese New Year Celebration in the section Street Parties on the link which you see on the right hand corner of this page.

This photo was selected by one freelance graphic designer who was working on the London bid for the 2018 world cup. As there was no budget for photography included in this bid, I was promised to receive "the warm-and-fuzzy satisfaction" of knowing that my photo will contribute to the 2018 bid. Mhm.... was wondering for a while cause I like football and this was nice distinction for me. So I asked this freelance graphic designer to offer me at least a ticket for whatever match on this potential 2018 world cup ;-) I guess he didn't get the joke cause he replied me that FIFA had restricted limits of tickets and so on... Imagine,I could be the first person who would get on the football match thanks to one photo. At least I tried... :)
