The Berlin Wall - East side gallery

The Berlin Wall was a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic (GDR, East Germany) starting on 13 August 1961, that completely cut off (by land) West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin. Having so many stories related to Berlin Wall in my mind, I needed to see it during my last stay in Berlin. Please find below some photos depicting this incredible monument of european history:

Yesterday, I received the parcel with 10 copies of the book Novanta by Lorenzo Marone. It is my paycheck for using one of my photo as a book cover. Thank you Lorenzo.

However, the story of this picture started in 2009 during my one day stay in Napoli. It was one of these rainy and chilly days when you ask yourself "why the hell did I get to this city?".  Let's say the reasons were complicated. I didn't know that I would see Napoli on the way to Italy. I saw it either way.

Wandering around the city, I took the picture Napoli and post boxes that becomes the book cover after 4 years time. Life really surprises me sometimes how things turn out at the end.

This time I didn't need to travel to South of Poland (http://agnieszkakedzierska.blogspot.com/2011/04/nowosielskis-polychromies.html) to see polychromies of great painter, graphic and artist Jerzy Nowosielski. Grand Prix of Poland

It took place at the cycling track BGŻ Arena in Pruszków where teams from nineteen countries (Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Norway, South Africa, Italy, the USA, Trinidad and Tobago) participated in different categories of races.Please have a look at below compilation of photos taken during this show.

"Gruba Kaśka" is the groundwater intake situed in Warsaw, at Vistula river.
